Please join us at ST. RAPHAELA CENTER on Sunday, February 19 from 3:00 to 4:30pm for a conversation that will engage the synodal pathway of the Catholic Church.

Dr. Phyllis Zagano, an internationally acclaimed scholar and lecturer on contemporary spirituality and women’s issues in the Church, will discuss the themes of Catholic Social Teaching, synodality, and women, which are included in her forthcoming book, Just Church.

More information about Dr. Zagano’s book and an order form can be found HERE. The book will be available for purchase at the Center starting February 10.

Dr. Zagano’s work on women in the diaconate led to her appointment to the Pontifical Commission for the Study of the Diaconate of Women in 2016. She currently holds a research appointment at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.

Synodal art by local artist Becky McIntyre, newly installed at St. Raphaela Center, will also be available for viewing. The art synthesizes local student joys, hopes, and obstacles with the Catholic Church into 6 themes from a synod listening session event to accompany a summary report document written for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Your registration is greatly appreciated. Free will offering.
