This Seminar is for spiritual directors who have made Directed Retreats and are interested in exploring the dynamics of this Retreat in the 3-8 day Directed Retreat format. Through the use of input, case studies, role play, readings related to the Directed Retreat, personal prayer and reflection, this seminar will cover such topics as:
- The Dynamics operative in a Directed Retreat
- The Director of the Directed Retreat
- Discernment within the Director
- Conversion Cycle (Four Movements in Prayer)
- Centrality of Religious Experience
- Listening to the Prayer of Another
- Fostering the Contemplative / Evocative Approach
- Role of Desire in Prayer
- Value of Sharing My Prayer with Another
- Bringing Retreat to Closure
