Listening to God like Ignatius ~ Escuchando a Dios como Ignacio
Spanish Ignatian Weekend Retreat
Objective: The Hispanic Ministry Team of OIS (Office of Ignatian Spirituality), designed “Escuchando a Dios como Ignacio” as an experience of Ignatian Spirituality for beginners.
Duration: It is a weekend retreat, starting Friday night and ending Sunday afternoon with the celebration of the Eucharistic.
Methodology: The retreat introduces moments of silence in a progressive manner.
After each moment, the person is offered time to pray, reflect, and is invited to share with the whole group the “fruits” of the moment of prayer.
During the weekend, each person has several opportunities to participate and share in small groups of Spiritual Conversation.
Each participant has also an opportunity for individual spiritual conversations.
“Escuchando a Dios como Ignacio” consists of nine segments called “moments” that introduce Ignatian principles, and ways of praying through guided contemplations, reflections, meditation, and silence. Retreatants pray about their own history, their identity, how they relate to the world, the meaning of silence, their free time, their relationship with Jesus, Ignatius’ story, and their call to service.
Cost: $250 for an individual room; $425 total for a double room; $160 for commuters
Deposit: $50 to reserve a space
