Easter Triduum Retreat 2025

The Easter Triduum invites us to take a long, loving look into the Paschal Mystery as the foundation of our faith. Join us for a weekend of beauty and intention as we flow through liturgical celebrations, silence and sacred circles of sharing. Father Jack Newns will be our Presider.
Holy Thursday: Seder Meal & Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Good Friday: Individual Prayer, The Passion of the Lord, Group Spiritual Conversation
Holy Saturday: Individual Prayer, Group Spiritual Conversation, Easter Vigil
Easter Sunday: Early Brunch & Departure
*Our Art Studio will be open throughout the retreat as an optional place of contemplative prayer.

Time: Starting at 4:00pm
Register by April 10
Cost: $255-$330 (depending on room choice)
Commuter: $50-$175 (depending on length of stay)

Detailed Schedule:
Holy Thursday:
5:30pm – Seder Meal
7:30pm – Mass of the Lord’s Supper
9:00pm – Adoration
Good Friday:
9:00am – Morning Prayer & Prompts for the Day
3:00pm – The Passion of the Lord
Stations of the Cross will be available throughout the whole day as a self-guided prayer experience
Holy Saturday:
9:00am – Morning Prayer & Prompts for the Day
Desert Day – House is Silent (packed lunches will be available for those heading out to local walking trails)
5:00pm – Preparation for the Easter Vigil, followed by Dinner and Departure for the Vigil Mass
7:30pm – Vigil Mass with Saint Thomas of Villanova Parish at Villanova University
Easter Sunday:
8:30am – Morning Prayer
9:00am – Brunch & Departure

Fr. Joe Schad, SJ
Joe Schad, SJ, is originally from South Philadelphia. He attended St. Joe's Prep, where he first encountered the Jesuits. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), with a BFA in the graphic arts program. Afterwards, Fr.
